Had a great session this morning with singer/songwriter Lu Rain. We shot these for her new album, look for it in the coming weeks on iTunes.

We had good luck with the weather. Clear sky with good color quality on the horizon — it was a bit chilly, but overall I think we were able to get some great results.

Strobist info: I used three basic lighting configs for these images:

1. Handheld SB-800 to camera left fired via iTTL cable, sun below horizon for golden hour ambient fill.
2. SB-800 fired through lense-mounted ring flash reflector, sun below horizon for golden hour fill.
3. Sun above horizon providing rimlight, silver handheld reflector below and to the right, SB-800 fired through a lense-mounted ring flash reflector.
